Timothy Loew is a senior advisor and former executive director of the Massachusetts Digital Games Institute at WPI. Tim's a founding member of Worcester-based Wire Group which invests in fast-moving, high-growth startups. He was recently a member of the Governor's AI Strategic Task Force Innovation Ecosystem Working Group. He serves on various boards including The Worcester Guardian, Worcester Cultural Coalition and the National Esports Collegiate Conference and is a past appointed member of the Massachusetts Creative Economy Council.
Jesse Silverberg, CEO, Multiscale Systems
Since 2018, Jesse has led Multiscale Systems through consistent advancement, resulting in multiple R&D contracts, the development of unique intellectual property, and the creation of the Multiscale Group, a Multiscale Systems-led portfolio of companies offering design, engineering, and advanced manufacturing capabilities. With an extensive background in physics research and technology development, Jesse draws on his unique perspective and extensive problem-solving expertise to inform his leadership as CEO and Research Director.
Sebastian Berriga, Founder & General Partner, milemark capital
Sebastian Barriga is the founder of milemark•capital, a venture capital firm that invests in early stage applied-AI startups. He spent 9 years at Carlyle as a PE investor and prior to that 11 years in investment banking at both Citi/Salomon and at his own firm. He’s been in 9 boards of both large corporations and AI firms such as Nitid.AI and Pharu Analysitcs. Seb graduated from the MIT Sloan Fellows MBA program and has an undergraduate business degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
Elke Rundensteiner, Professor, Computer Science, Program Head, Data Science, WPI
Elke is a William Smith Professor of Computer Science at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and the Founding Head of WPI’s Data Science and Artificial Intelligence programs. An internationally recognized expert in Big Data Analytics, she has led over 55 funded research projects and published extensively, with over 17,000 citations. Her work has earned numerous accolades, including multiple IEEE Test of Time Awards and WPI’s Board of Trustees honors.
